Wooden Conservatories

Wooden Conservatories originated in the 16th century when the wealthy sought to cultivate citrus fruits such as lemon and orange trees, today the conservatory is used as extension to create an extra living or dining space or to extend a kitchen within a unique glazed structure, flooded with light. A wooden Conservatory should be a room that can be enjoyed all year round.

Wooden Conservatories

All of our Wooden Conservatories are manufactured using the finest timber materials and our many years of knowledge and experience to give you a product that not only looks good but one that will stand the test of time.  We use a range of timbers including hardwood, oak and accoya which are chosen to be most suitable to each application. Our knowledgeable designers will help talk through this with you.

Bespoke Design

The Gable Fronted Timber Conservatory is a modified version of the more traditional Edwardian design.  The Gable Front gives a lovely visual impact both internally and externally, usually featuring bespoke wooden mouldings but can include anything from simple lines to very decorative wooden cartwheel or starburst designs.

Within the Wooden Conservatory the main feature of the gable frame gives a lovely focal point to the room and gives a feeling of more height and space due to the high pitched roof.

Heating & Ventilation

With modern heating methods such as underfloor heating and modern solar controlled glass your wooden conservatory should be a room that can be used and enjoyed all year round. Often our rooms feature roof vents which can be thermostatically controlled to open when the room reaches a pre-set temperature and closes at the first drop of rain.

Victorian Timber Conservatories

The traditional Timber Victorian Conservatory design is a popular choice which perfectly suits a traditional house. It is a timeless design, one which can be simple and effective to elaborate and stylish.  A wide fronted Victorian Conservatory can take advantage of additional floor space and by adding decorative features can complement the original house.

This wooden Victorian Conservatory that we sent out to the USA feature bespoke gothic arches manufactured from timber and machined on our CNC machine.

Smaller Wooden Conservatories

Space doesn’t have to be a barrier to create a unique addition or feature to any property. Even the smallest of spaces can be used to form a unique and valuable room. Wooden Conservatories which are built in an unused part of a garden can transform a dead space into a focal point and attractive achitecural feature which is always a great investment particularly when space is at a premium.
