Wooden Orangery with BiFolds

The homeowners sought to enhance their living space by adding a bespoke orangery. They aimed to create a versatile area that would blend seamlessly with their existing property while providing a functional and aesthetically pleasing addition.

The hardwood orangery, was designed with windows to match the existing properties timber windows, painted white to ensure continuity. To the front of the orangery, bifolding doors were encorporated with a single opening door for everyday use and the ability to fully open the set of bifolds to the garden. This functionality is perfect for hosting summer garden parties and barbecues. Additionally, the design included fluted pilaster posts and fascia that were not overly ornate, complementing the existing architecture. The space was intended to serve predominantly as an additional living area, equipped with an air conditioning system for heating and cooling.

The completed orangery offers a bright and inviting additional living space. The white-painted hardwood frame and matching windows created a harmonious extension of the existing property. The bifolding doors proved to be a standout feature, allowing the space to be easily opened to the garden, ideal for family gatherings and summer events. The understated pilaster posts and fascia provided the perfect balance of elegance and simplicity.
